The Free Market Monument Foundation

"It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from regard to their own interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages. Nobody but a beggar chooses to depend chiefly upon the benevolence of his fellow citizens."

-- Adam Smith (1723 - 1790) Scottish philosopher

The Free Market Monument will be a granite monument honoring free markets and free market principles as they have been practiced throughout history and throughout the world. More specifically it recognizes and honors American free markets and their enormous contributions to advances in worldwide prosperity.

The Free Market Monument Foundation is a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting free market principles. Our primary goal is to build a monument documenting and preserving the Principles of the Free Market. Our secondary goal is educating about the benefits of remaining true to those principles, especially in times of crisis.

Once the Free Market Monument is complete, construction will begin on a nearby visitor center and convention center. A free market museum is envisioned and a small mobile version of the free market monument that can tour the country (and perhaps the world) promoting the Principles of the Free Market.

Your tax deductible contribution will help to keep the Principles of the Free Market at the forefront of political and economic debate in the United States and around the world.
